The application period for the first phase of master's programs at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (Ciências ULisboa) for the 2026/2027 academic year is now open. This first phase, which began on March 9th and ends on April 10th, allows applicants to choose from a total of 42 courses within the knowledge areas that make up Ciências ULisboa. The offerings range from Biostatistics to Applied Environmental Sustainability and include Informatics, Medical Physics, History and Philosophy of Science, Geology, and other courses designed to ensure the longevity of knowledge and meet the demands of the job market and research careers. Applications for the new master's program are submitted through digital channels of Ciências ULisboa.

Consulting the list of courses also serves as a first step in discovering vocations – or simply career opportunities that may dictate the choice of study path. But before making a decision, candidates for Master's programs at Ciências ULisboa should consult the course information sheets to confirm the number of places available and the tuition fees applied in each case. Some courses are taught in partnership with other educational institutions and may require the application process to be submitted to these partner entities. The course information sheets also reveal the languages used and the times of day when classes take place.
