FCiências.ID Awards

Given the particular relevance to the objectives of FCiências.ID of its sole university member, the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (CIÊNCIAS), the Board of Directors of FCiências. ID decided, on 8 March 2019, to award prizes exclusively to doctoral theses of proven excellence by CIÊNCIAS 3rd Cycle graduate students in the previous calendar year, maintaining the award ceremony on CIÊNCIAS' anniversary (see information on the FCiências.ID portal).

In accordance with its Statutes, FCiências.ID awards cash prizes to the three best students who, in the previous academic year, were enrolled for the first time in the first year of undergraduate and integrated master's degree courses and who passed all the courses included in that academic year.

The Awards are given to students who have obtained the three best arithmetic averages - weighted by their respective ECTS and calculated to the nearest thousandth - provided they are equal to or higher than 17.0 points. The winners are identified by the academic services of CIÊNCIAS.

FCiências.ID also awards Honourable Mentions of a non-pecuniary nature.
