Unite! Widening Training Series

The University of Lisbon has 18 places available across three international training opportunities within the Unite! Widening initiative, aimed at doctoral students, doctoral advisors (researchers, professors), and professionals involved in doctoral education.

Taking place in person in Poland and Italy, the training programmes combine interactive workshops, expert sessions, best-practice sharing, study visits and networking opportunities with participants from other universities in the Unite! alliance.

📍 Widening Training @Wrocław – Onboarding Early-Stage Researchers

21–23 October 2026 | Wrocław, Poland

Designed for early-stage researchers, preferably PhD candidates, this training supports participants in taking the first steps in their doctoral journey, covering topics such as research planning, skills development, career planning, and identifying resources and individual strengths.

An opportunity for PhD supervisors, focusing on strategies for supporting early-stage researchers, providing constructive feedback, developing researchers' skills and supporting career development.

📍 Widening Training @PoliTO – Doctoral School International Impact and Attractiveness

18–20 November 2026 | Turin, Italy

Aimed at researchers and academic or administrative staff involved in doctoral education, this training explores strategies to strengthen the internationalisation and attractiveness of Doctoral Schools.
