Against a backdrop where the energy transition is urgent but must be carried out in a way that minimizes its environmental impacts, the seminar “Energy Transition and its Environmental Impacts” will be held on 19 June, from 14h00 to 16h30, organized jointly by the Department of Earth Sciences and Energy (DCTE) and the Department of Biology (DB) of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, with the involvement of the Sun4all project.

This event will bring together experts from different fields to discuss the main challenges associated with the energy transition, addressing topics such as the climate and biodiversity crises, large-scale solar projects, offshore wind power and mining, and providing a forum for sharing based on scientific knowledge and evidence.

The seminar is aimed at the scientific community, public administration bodies, companies in the sector and the general public.
