The Institute of Botany of the Jagiellonian University , in cooperation with the Forest Research Centre (CEF) of the Instituto Superior de Agronomia - ISA (School of Agronomy) of the University of Lisbon, is organizing the next edition of the Summer School in Field Ecology - SSFE 2026. These are international workshops designed for undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students of both partner universities, i.e., the Jagiellonian University and the University of Lisbon.
The aim of the workshops is to familiarize participants with the full research process, from defining a research problem and setting hypotheses, through field data sampling and statistical analysis, to the presentation of results and preparation for publication.
The main theme of the workshops will be: Measuring success in riparian restoration: A multitaxa approach.
The Summer School in Field Ecology 2026 is organized as part of the project Partnership between the Jagiellonian University and the University of Lisbon for the study and protection of riparian forests, funded by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA), in the frame of the Open Campus Lifelong Learning ISAULisboa.
Participants may receive full or partial coverage of costs (travel, accommodation, and meals).
