The course has as its main objectives the observation and learning of marine organism identification, with an emphasis on invertebrates.
The course will have a mixed format, with a brief theoretical-practical approach, a field trip for observation and collection of organisms, and practical identification of various types of organisms:
The rocky tidal zone will be used as a natural laboratory for the field trip, where a remarkable variety of organisms and their distribution patterns can be observed.
During the field trip, basic techniques for collection, recording, and preservation will be addressed and practiced.
In the field, and later in the laboratory, organisms will be observed in detail, practicing the observation of morphological characteristics that allow for their correct identification.
A unique opportunity to explore coastal biodiversity and develop practical skills in the area of marine biology and species identification.
