In 2026, the University of Lisbon is strengthening its support to its community of lecturers, researchers and technical staff in preparing applications for competitive research and innovation funding, with new capacity‑building activities taking place in September and October. Participation is free of charge, but places are limited.
The upcoming activities will be particularly focused on preparing applications for European collaborative projects, with special emphasis on Innovation Actions (IA) and Research and Innovation Actions (RIA) under the Pillar 2 Clusters of Horizon Europe.
Upcoming activities:
Workshop 4 – Horizon Europe: Proposal Preparation
28–30 September
For lecturers and researchers with no prior experience in preparing European R&I proposals, whose scientific areas fall within the Pillar 2 Clusters of Horizon Europe.
Workshop 5 – Horizon Europe: Advanced Proposal Preparation
30 September–2 October
For lecturers and researchers with previous experience in preparing European R&I proposals who wish to deepen their knowledge and prepare a project as coordinator.Workshop 6 – Horizon Europe: Financial and Administrative Management
13–15 October
For technical staff responsible for the financial and administrative management of projects funded under Horizon Europe.
All training sessions will take place in person at the TTC@ULisboa – ULisboa’s Technology Transfer and Knowledge Valorisation Centre, and will be delivered by Nuno Cunha (AAVANZ). The materials and presentations will be in English, with oral delivery in Portuguese.
