CEMS.UL will hold a conference entitled "Analysis, PDEs and Free Boundary Problems" in honour of José Francisco Rodrigues, on the occasion dof his 70th birthday, on 1st February 2027, at the Praça da Criatividade, Óbidos.
This meeting is both a scientific celebration and a personal tribute to a mathematician whose work has had a profound and lasting influence on nonlinear partial differential equations, free boundary problems, variational inequalities, and applied analysis. Over the years, José Francisco Rodrigues has inspired colleagues, collaborators, and students not only through his Mathematics but also through his generosity, enthusiasm, and unwavering dedication to the mathematical community.
