with eyes on the future

Join us on 22nd April at the CIÊNCIAS Grand Auditorium to celebrate the 115th anniversary of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, in an afternoon of celebration that brings together the entire community.

The event includes guest speakers, awards for students and staff from CIÊNCIAS, a presentation by VicenTuna, and a social gathering with birthday cake.

The Future of
Scientific Ideas

The panel “Innovate, Protect, Impact: The Future of Scientific Ideas” is part of the celebration of CIÊNCIAS' 115th anniversary, serving as a moment for strategic reflection on the Faculty's role in the next cycle of its history.

For over a century, CIÊNCIAS has established itself through the quality of its research and its international impact. However, contemporary challenges place new demands on universities: not only to produce knowledge, but to ensure its translation into innovation, its protection when necessary, and its effective impact on society and the economy.
