11th edition of Ser Cientista (Being a Scientist), a summer program for 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students who want to discover how science is done in practice.
From July 20 to 24, participants will be able to join a research team at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon, participate in a real scientific project, accompanied by the professors and researchers of our Faculty, and get to know up close the work of researchers from different scientific fields.
Ser Cientista already has ten editions, having received around 560 participants since the first edition.
Opportunity to work side by side with researchers, learn new techniques, explore current scientific questions, and experience the university environment.
But Being a Scientist is more than just science. It is also an opportunity to meet other students with similar interests, develop teamwork skills, and discover new areas of knowledge.
At the end of the program, participants will present the work you have developed at a scientific congress specially organized for all participants.
