The Theoretical-Practical Sessions on Volatiles and Essential Oils reach their 11th edition on 19 June 2026. The sessions will take place between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm, at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (Department of Biology, Building C2, Floor 1, Rooms 2.1.20A, 2.1.18, 2.1.18A, 2.1.19), under the coordination of Ana Cristina Figueiredo and Alexandra Machado.
The programme includes:
Extraction of essential oils, vegetable oils, volatiles and other extracts
Analysis of essential oils, vegetable oils and volatiles
Biological activity of essential oils and volatiles
Essential oils and volatiles and ISO Standards
Registration
Registration costs €70 for regular participants, and €60 for students. It is open until 12 June 2026.
The sessions will only take place with a minimum of 6 participants, and a maximum of 14.
The initiative will also feature an exhibition of plant raw materials, essential oils, hydrolats and derivatives.
