Committee for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility

The Committee for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility of CIÊNCIAS (IDEA.Ciências) aims to define strategic principles and objectives, as well as propose action plans with a view to promoting a more just, pluralistic and welcoming institutional culture, guided by the prevention and eradication of all types of discrimination, respect for individual differences, the valuing of people and the guarantee of full accessibility to spaces and resources.

IDEA.Ciências is structured into five Working Groups:

• Physical Accessibility

• Digital Accessibility

• Gender Equality

• Inclusive Communication

• Dissemination of Activities.

In compliance with Law No. 38/2018 of 7 August, it aims to promote social well-being within the Faculty of Sciences and to address reported concerns, ensuring that all the Faculty’s actions and procedures are in accordance with the gender identity and expression expressed by the individuals concerned.

• A free access service designed to facilitate the reporting of any situations in our daily lives that act as barriers to inclusion, diversity, equity and accessibility at the Faculty of Sciences.
