Recognition of Courses by Professional Associations
Professional recognition of courses refers to authorisation granted by the relevant authorities (ministry, professional body, trade association, etc.) to practise a specific, duly regulated profession or professional activity.
Recognition of Master’s and PhD degrees by the DGAE
The process of recognition by the Directorate-General for School Administration (DGAE) of study programmes leading to master’s or doctoral degrees, for the purposes of career progression, is intended to identify the master’s and doctoral programmes that confer upon early years educators and primary and secondary school teachers within the career framework, the right to a reduction in length of service referred to in paragraphs 1 and 2 of Article 54 of the Teaching Career Statute (ECD).
